Three reasons it doesn't end up in a drawer
It's ready.
We charge it, install the games, fit the screen protector and test every console by hand before it goes in the box. There is nothing for you to do. Nothing for the person opening it, either.
It fits in a pocket.
185 grams, a 3.5-inch screen, eight hours of battery. It goes in a coat, in a bag, in one hand. Exactly what we wanted at ten years old.
It won't let you down.
Two years of warranty, spare parts sold individually, and someone who answers email in under 24 hours. We are a small team and we would rather repair than replace.
Wrapped, with your message inside
Gift wrapping is included, the price never travels with the parcel, and you choose the delivery day.

The gift that works without a manual
It is the same console every time. What changes is who opens it.
At Christmas
The one present that does not stall the evening. No charger hunt, no account, no update downloading while everyone waits.
For a birthday
For the adult who says they want nothing. This is the thing they would never buy themselves and will quietly use for years.
For Father's Day
Not another mug. A console that plays the games he actually grew up with, ready the moment the paper comes off.
When someone leaves
A leaving gift from the whole team that is neither a card nor a bottle. The Duo pack works out cheaper per console if you want to keep one.
Who ends up keeping one
The one buying a gift
You want something that lands in three seconds and does not need explaining. It opens, it plays, and nobody has to create an account while everyone watches.
See the packsThe one who remembers
You had a handheld at nine. You have not played in twenty years and you would never buy this for yourself. That is exactly who it was built for.
See the packsThe one who takes the train
Eight hours of battery covers a long journey there and back. It fits in a coat pocket and it works without a signal, a login or a subscription.
See the packsThe one with a full house
Games from before touchscreens and in-app purchases. Nothing to supervise, nothing to top up, and a screen small enough to be handed over without argument.
See the packsPrepared, or straight out of the factory box
The hardware in a cheap retro handheld is often fine. What is missing is everything that happens after it is made — which is the work we do.

Sixty games, and not one of them filler
Each one was played on this console before it made the cut. Several hundred hours, already installed.

Sixty games, picked one at a time
We didn't fill a memory card at random. Every game in the Pocketro library was played, tested on the console itself, and kept only if it held up on a 3.5-inch screen.
Action classics, adventures that run twenty hours, racing games, puzzles for a short commute. All included, all legal, all already installed.
Three examples of what's inside
Beneath a Steel Sky
A science-fiction thriller drawn by Dave Gibbons, the artist behind Watchmen. Released in 1994, given away by its creators ever since.
Cave Story
The story of an amnesiac robot on a floating island. Made by one person over five years, and now a classic.
OpenTyrian
A ship, waves of enemies, upgrades between levels. The one you restart for just one more run.

Questions people actually ask
Do any games come with it?
Yes, sixty of them, already installed. You switch the console on and play. They are legally distributable games: free and open creations, titles their authors released to the public, and recent work from the independent scene. Each one was tested on the console before it made the cut.
Is it complicated to use?
No. There is a power button, a menu, and games. If you have ever used a handheld console in your life, you will know what to do in ten seconds. If you haven't, the printed manual is four pages.
How long does the battery last?
Eight hours of continuous play, and two and a half hours for a full charge over USB-C. It charges from any recent phone charger.
Is the screen readable outdoors?
Yes. It is an IPS panel with an anti-glare treatment — not the cheap screen you find on a twenty-euro console.
What age is it for?
Seven to seventy. The games included are all suitable for a general audience. For a child, expect the simplicity of a classic pocket console; for an adult, nostalgia does the rest.
Can I add my own games?
Yes. The memory card is accessible and replaceable. That said, nothing obliges you to: the sixty games included already add up to several hundred hours.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. The prices shown include VAT and customs duties for every country we sell to. You will not receive a further bill on delivery.
What if I don't like it?
Send it back within thirty days, no explanation needed, and we pay the return. We refund within five working days of receiving it.
What if it breaks?
Two years of warranty. We repair where repair is possible and replace where it isn't. Wear parts — battery, buttons, sticks — are sold individually with a replacement guide.
Can I have it sent straight to someone as a gift?
Yes. Gift wrapping is included, your message is printed on a card and laid in the box, and the invoice goes to you by email alone — the person opening the parcel never sees the price. You can also choose the delivery date.
